From 1 January 2026, RICS members are required to complete CPD covering three mandatory topics on a rolling three-year basis: Ethics, Sustainability, and Data, AI & Technology. To help surveyors meet these new requirements, we have launched a recorded RICS Mandatory Topics CPD Bundle designed to provide practical, expert-led training across all three areas.

Sustainability: An Introduction to Concepts and Actions
An introduction for UK property surveyors to the key concepts and topics of sustainability, why they are important for our industry, how regulators and the markets are responding, and what actions property professionals can take.

Leveraging AI for Surveyors - A Practical Approach
In this presentation Chris will take you through the basics of AI specifically for the UK's property sector. He will provide a practical explanation of how GenAI works and what its good at while exploring what the future is likely to look at. This will be followed by an overview of some of the best use cases for AI in the UK's property sector along with guidance on how to best deploy it. The session will include a number of practical demos of how to best leverage some GenAI capabilities in day-to-day work and will explore some more complex Machine Learning use cases.

Ethics, Theory and Practice for Chartered Surveyors
RICS requires that members record at least an hour of ethical content every three years. This module will look at the five Ethical Rules and how these are carried into RICS Rules of Conduct. It will include practical commentary on key areas of risk.
